Hey there! My name is Yelena (they/she), and I am a graduate of Brown University's Class of 2021 where I earned my degree in English Literature & Nonfiction and Psychology, with Phi Beta Kappa honors.

​As a writer and storyteller currently based in Boston, I believe in work that empowers others, that gives voice to multi/marginalized people, that disrupts the status quo, and that is rooted in collaboration, feedback, and purpose.

Writing has been my tool to connect with people - strangers, family, teachers, and friends; it has allowed me to discover the power of the human experience, of ancestral history, of finding the beauty in creating and making meaning with a simple word or comma. Writing is art.
